Rice Insurance Services Center has an exciting career opportunity for a Claims Representative. The Claims Representative administers information from clients by phone, email, and fax in order to set up insurance claims for processing; works with clients, adjusters, and management on claim status, problems, and questions.

Rice Insurance Services Center, an Accretive company, has specialized in state-mandated real estate E&O programs since 1989. We provide the group policies in 13 of the 15 states that have group programs and require real estate licensees to maintain insurance. We also provide an independent program in one mandated state. We handle all aspects of the program, providing ease and consistency throughout the entire process, from obtaining coverage to claims resolution. • Assists clients of the agency in reporting and monitoring professional liability claims, which includes taking initial loss notice, setting up files in claim management system, getting loss notice to an adjuster, communicating with insured on adjuster assignment, and tracking claims received.
• Conducts initial review of first notice of loss and requests any additional information needed from clients.
• Refers claim set up questions to a Claims Supervisor.
• Other administrative duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 1 years of Experience in insurance or legal environment preferred.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Paralegal certificate, or degree from college or technical school preferred.
• Tech savvy; ability to learn multiple systems including Microsoft Office Suite and Agency Management software.
• Ability to work in the office Monday through Friday.
