The Vice President of Business Development will use their knowledge of the Accretive P&C products and resources to facilitate new P&C agent/broker connections and further existing ones to increase submissions, improve utilization of cross-company solutions and increase revenue.  In addition, this individual will assist with institutionalizing best practices in building broker relationships.

 

This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the USA.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze utilization data to identify growth opportunities and work with internal producers to develop growth strategies with their agencies.
  • Use in-depth knowledge of Accretive’s P&C products and team to assist prospective and existing customers /agents in identifying and connecting them with the appropriate internal resource for their needs.
  • As the initial point of contact for inquiries and newly appointed agents, assist customers who are looking for general information or future business connection.
  • Apply understanding of full range of Accretive’s capabilities to cross-sell to independent agents.
  • Facilitate segmentation of agents for appropriate communications and relationship building efforts.
  • Utilize agency production system and marketing CRM to access and update key agent/broker information.
  • Work with internal Accretive agencies and/or Producers to identify and implement strategies to expand agency relationships.
  • Develop and deploy resources to improve internal communications regarding market appetites, expertise, etc. for internal producers.
  • Represent Accretive products/programs at external events for a positive, in-person Accretive brand building experience.
  • Ensure compliance while executing insurance inquiries and collection of data.
  • Champion sales best practices and success internally.
  • Travel is required, including overnight travel.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, or related field.
  • A minimum of five years in commercial property & casualty insurance sales or key role in production support experience in an agency, brokerage, wholesale or MGU.
  • All lines commercial insurance general knowledge with demonstrated expertise in assessing diverse commercial ACORD forms.
  • Familiarity with online raters and/or production management systems used in insurance, CRM experience a plus.
  • P&C Insurance License strongly preferred
  • You are an effective presenter with experience in presenting in various forms (in person, phone, webinar, etc.)
  • You have working knowledge of production management systems used in insurance.
  • You are collaborative and obtain a proactive mindset.
  • You have general knowledge of all lines of commercial P&C insurance and wholesale distribution.

Compensation:

 

The starting target salary for this position is $125,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. Remote work environment flexibility.
