Overview

The Service Analyst will process new cases and service existing accounts.  Provide service to the field, specifically conduct meetings, open enrollments, etc.

 

Keenan, an Accretive company, is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm meeting the insurance needs of hospitals, public entities and California school districts. Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability.

What You'll Do

  • Assist Account Executive as required, including collection of data for marketing cases and communication of potential sales opportunities
  • Assist the Account Executive on potential sales leads
  • Develop and deliver service presentations to assist the Account Executive with new business sales
  • Assist the Account Executive with the marketing of existing insurance programs of assigned accounts utilizing BenefitPoint and the marketing procedures
  • Implement/process new cases and service existing accounts
  • Proof booklets, Summary Benefits of Coverage, and Master Contracts
  • Establish and maintain client relationships by providing customer visits according to priorities established within assigned territory
  • Ensure timely, accurate and efficient service to customers
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of accounts in assigned territory
  • Assist Service Coordinators in routine and complex claim, billing, and eligibility issues
  • Process renewals and coordinate with Account Executive in obtaining renewal information and preparing renewal letters
  • Review School Pool Renewal binder for accuracy and report any discrepancies to BUAD
  • Review Premium and Claims reports; work with the Account Executive to provide reports to the client
  • Attend and participate in benefit committee meetings and JPA meetings as required
  • Attend and participate in open enrollment, health fairs, and employee orientation meetings
  • Prepare required Service reports
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills with clients, carriers, and other Keenan staff
  • Implement new and routine administrative procedures as required
  • Audit G drive for accuracy
  • Participate in all BenefitBridge/KCARES client renewal and/or new business implementation calls
  • Assist in the training of other service personnel
  • Maintain frequent interaction with carrier representatives
  • Maintain positive attitude and flexible hours
  • Be sensitive to the proprietary nature of information relating solely to Keenan & Associates’ clients,
  • policies, etc., and be responsible for not divulging this information to anyone without a need to know
  • It is an essential function of this job that you arrive at your designated office location on-time and ready to work your scheduled hours
  • All other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Three years of medical group insurance experience; self-starter; accurate and detail oriented; excellent organizational, verbal, written and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to build relationships and create personal bond with customers; math aptitude; ability to multi-task; ability to use Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel. 
  • (PowerPoint preferred but not required); must possess a high level of professionalism; participation in continuing education program; technical knowledge of claims adjudication; ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; Life and Disability license; ability to travel; field responsibilities; dependable transportation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook; Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Compensation:

 

The target salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. Hybrid work environment and must be willing to travel.
