Overview

Handling of administrative tasks in support of our Corporate Claims Team. Duties include tasks requiring confidentiality, initiative, urgency and great attention to detail. Administrative support includes transcription, typing, creation of letters, handling incoming calls, maintaining spreadsheets, creation of SmartSheets, coordinating meetings, lunches and set up of branch training classes. Requires use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SmartSheet Teams, Zoom and claims system use.

Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability.

What You'll Do

Administrative support

  • Draft memos/correspondence.
  • Transcribe, edit and distribute minutes of meetings.
  • Coordinate remote and physical meetings, to include attendees, reserving conference rooms, coordinating attendance, work with IT on system connectivity, communication with team members on specific needs and anticipate needs.
  • Assist with creating PowerPoint, Excel and Word, Adobe PDF documents.
  • Coordinate and order meals for on-site meetings in multiple offices, to include knowing and staying within budgets, making recommendations for meal selection according to attendee restrictions, confidentiality with payment methods, ensure prompt delivery times, meal set up and clean up.
  • Ordering/distributing reference material for CCT/management team.

Maintain, Update and Deliver department statistics and maintain historical data

  • Requires good knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, Smartsheet and general understanding of data trends to identify any errors.
  • Maintains Keenan internal and external portal inquires.

Other duties as assigned

  • Maintain/update databases (ie: Maximus, Bottomline, etc.).
  • Claims system data entry in support of both WC and PLCA claims inquiry updates.
  • External data updates.
  • Special projects as needed.

 

What You'll Need

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a comparable position required, three (3) preferred, typing 60-65 wpm.
  • Ability to work independently, with urgency and great attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify errors and communicate with senior team members.
  • Ability to use the 10key by sight.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Effective organizer, planner, and self-starter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Adept at accessing business data from the Internet when required.

Compensation: The target salary range for this position is $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. Hybrid work environment flexibility.
