Marketing Executive specializing in Commercial Lines insurance products. Responsible for developing
and implementing marketing strategies to promote and sell commercial insurance policies to businesses. Collaborates with underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders to create targeted marketing campaigns and initiatives. Analyzes market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and expansion in the commercial insurance market. Works closely with sales teams to drive revenue and achieve business objectives.
• Client Retention & Relationship Management: Maintain business within the assigned territory by
establishing and nurturing strong client relationships through regular visits and open
communication.
• Consultative Account Management: Utilize consultative techniques to manage assigned accounts, recommending new services and products tailored to customers’ existing insurance packages,
circumstances, and needs.
• Business Expansion & Program Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance current insurance
programs by suggesting modifications or additions based on anticipated customer needs.
• Monitoring Compliance:Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the organization
adheres to established policies, identifying areas for improvement and enforcing corrective
actions as needed.
• Regulatory & Industry Knowledge: Stay informed on legislative and regulatory changes affecting
clients, ensuring compliance and proactive adaptation.
• Carrier Renewals & Negotiation: Gather, evaluate, and negotiate carrier renewals for assigned
insurance programs to secure favorable terms for clients.
Strategic Product Recommendations: Provide expert advice on insurance products and programs
aligned with clients’ needs and industry trends.
• Marketing & Client Presentations: Manage marketing efforts for insurance programs by collecting
relevant data, completing necessary forms, and adhering to BenefitPoint marketing procedures. Develop and deliver impactful client presentations.
• Comprehensive Client Consulting: Offer day-to-day consulting services on various benefit
programs, providing expert guidance and solutions.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Property & Casualty (P&C) counterpart
within the assigned territory to maximize client retention efforts.• Account & Territory Oversight: Maintain deep knowledge of assigned accounts, ensuring thorough
understanding and timely service.
• Service Efficiency & Communication: Partner with the service team to create communication
materials and execute internal procedures for new case installations.
• Issue Resolution: Liaise with clients and carriers to resolve billing, premium, and eligibility issues,
ensuring smooth operations.
• Plan Documentation & Compliance: Assist in drafting medical Plan Documents, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), and amendments while proofing master contracts and associated
documents.
• Client Meetings & Presentations: Prepare and present materials for Insurance Committee
Meetings, Wellness Meetings, and Joint Purchasing Arrangements (JPAs).
• Claims Management: Address both routine and complex claim issues efficiently.
• Annual Enrollment & Employee Engagement: Organize and oversee annual open enrollments,
health fairs, and employee orientation sessions.
Legislative Compliance: Communicate mandatory legislative updates and changes to clients as
needed.
• Renewals & Invoice Processing: Handle renewal processes and premium invoice management.
• Industry Data & Benchmarking: Collect and analyze data for employee benefit studies, enabling
clients to compare offerings within their county and industry.
• Reporting & CRM Maintenance: Prepare timely reports and maintain SalesForce CRM records for
assigned accounts.
• Training & Development: Support the training of service personnel to enhance team capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in the employee benefits field required
• Life and Disability license required
• Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented and has excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Ability to build relationships with clients and Senior Management
• Possess negotiating skills and mathematical ability
• Basic underwriting skills and understanding of funding methodologies
•General knowledge of management and decision making of California Public Agencies (ie: insurance committees, bargaining units, etc)
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Intermediate to advance knowledge of Salesforce and Benefit Bridge software is preferred
• Adept at accessing business data from the Internet when required
